I would say they would have matched the metals. I have a couple of FPJ deployants and they are very good but I will always prefer a tang. I think a tang gives a more comfortable feel/fit and is more minimalistic/elegant…of course that’s all subjective and...
Nothing wrong with a nice classic tang, of coutse, but here..
..but here are my two reasons why I prefer deployant: 1)- UNDOUBTEDLY, the longevity of the strap goes up dramatically if it is paired with a deployant. You force the tiny stud/pin through the hole once.....and that's it....no more meaningful stress/stret...
Yes you are right on both accounts. It all boils down to preference.
