Nothing wrong with a nice classic tang, of coutse, but here..

..but here are my two reasons why I prefer deployant:

1)- UNDOUBTEDLY, the longevity of the strap goes up dramatically if it is paired with a deployant. You force the tiny stud/pin through the hole once.....and that's it....no more meaningful stress/stretch on the hole. With a tang you are slowly stretching the hole over time as you essentially stress the hole in the strap every day you wear the watch - twice.

2) deployant also feels safer to me, when putting on the watch. If I have a strap with a tang, I have to subconsciously do it above a bed, above the table etc....so if in case the watch would slip through my fingers, while fiddling with the tang with one hand, the watch would slip and fall - it would not fall all the way to the ground.
With a deployant clasp I'll do it more cinfidendly above ground.
