It’s funny to look back at this. The only person banging the Centigraphe drum publicly at that time was The Journe Guy. It’s always the watch I associate with him because of that. For me the sapphire dials of the Sport version, or at that point the Annive... 

I owned the Octa Sport (titanium) and it was a fantastic watch. In some ways a better expression of the Octa Sport concept, since with the automatic winding and big date it was SO good as a weird easy to wear everyday sporty watch... but I still would hav... 

There were much less Journe fans then. FP was there. It was when he wrote the Journe book.

That first book was written by a then New Yorker. But both gentlemen would be there regularly.

Super nice guy too. Fun fact; my first experience hands on with Journe’s Line Sport was his watch. And that changed it all, once you held one of those in your hand it all made sense. That was the impetus for me eventually buying a CTS.

In fact, I think this may be the *only* Journe I think is at its best in gold!

I have no idea if it is more instrumental than dressy but I do know it is beautiful and I could look at it for ages and still have no clue how to read the chronograph or I could look at the movement and not care. Marc
