I think that what Brad posted in the "Rule".
I think that Montres Journe reserves the right to amend the rule on a case/customer by case basis. THe Journe folks are extremely accomodating and considerate. I can't imagine that a true customer, witha leigitmate watch will be denied service if under warranty. And, if they do, if you bought in on the "Parallel" market - you save cash on the initial purchase - you pa for it sometime.
You always pay for it sometime!

Clarification?
I just want to ask one follow-up: Journe's position seems to be parallel market=used and used=no warranty. Does that mean if I buy a Journe at an AD and sell it 6 months later (not that I would do that), I cannot transfer the remainder of the warranty? A

Pre-owned
I believe as long as the were purchased originally from an AD or boutique the warranty holds. I will double check.
Clarification
If someone buys a watch form an authorized dealer "AD" or an FPJ boutique and then sells the watch as pre-owned, the warranty will remain intact. The new owner should also let Montres Journe know by writing an email to info @ fpjourne .com (remove spaces)...

But wouldn't every Journe originate from either a Journe AD or boutique. Even if a secondary source was selling the watch it would have had to come from a AD originally unless it was stolen.

an AD and not by a collector (who originally bought from an AD), its certificate will not have the AD's Stamp or name. This makes the warranty card invalid which makes sense to me. But if one bought a watch from a gray dealer and have issues, I believe Jo...

if the watch was passed/sold from an AD to a grey dealer FPJ would still know which dealer it was sent to from the serial number.... So FPJ could do something about it..... Cheers

that clearly this kind of thing would not be happening without some kind of cooperation from ADs. But that poses tricky issues -- Journe obviously cannot willy nilly fire its ADs without affecting its distribution. And I think Journe kind of turns a bilnd...
