I recently saw it and fell in love. As far as the others, I’m not sure what the specs you’re looking at (eg platinum only?), but you can’t go wrong with any. Since it’s your first, any of these options should be good. The only exception is the line sport,... 

is so iconic and can go with anything from casual to dressy. That boutique bleu in person is even better than in photos.

Initially wanted the resonance and optimum - but they won’t give that as first piece I love the blue on the cs but love the asymmetry on the automatique dial, the lune ads a function but than maybe is a less cleaner dial and you loose the blued hands for ... 

It’s only a matter of personal preference, but for me there wouldn’t be any hesitation: a manual winding watch especially with a movement as special as the one of the CS is not to be missed. And the boutique platinum blue dial looks wonderful. So 40mm CS ... 

Every day I prefer a different one over the other😁 All so special. Of course at some point I would like to add the optimum, which than would give me the dial asymmetry ….

Seems like there's agreement between all of us. Congratulations whichever you choose! I certainly understand the - each day I prefer a different one over the other. Seems to be a virus we all get once in a while!

The CS was my first watch and it will probably be the last watch in my collection I’ll ever get rid off. On the other hand some prefer the Automatique over the CS. I own that as well but the CS is my personal pick. Listen to your heart. It’s not like one ... 

So I read a statement of fp. Apparently he designed the resonance with 42mm in mind. The case being thicker would be nearer to the cs proportions of the case….🙃

After awhile I decided I didn't need two gold watches ... I kept the GO and sold the CS. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20 Cazalea ...  

Unless you have *huge* wrist, for sure stick with 40mm. As was mentioned before, the CS is the ultimate FPJ Classis and beloved by the beginning or the seasoned FPJ collectors. All your potential picks are great and instead of us, it's ultimately only you...

It is difficult to ask for a special edition without having a history.

I didn’t even know about the blue dial cs when I went into the boutique. I wanted a optimum or resonance. But that wasn’t an option form them as first watch.

Went to LA Boutique yesterday. I did not realize that smooth surface without guilloche CS and new matte blue guilloche CS have beautifully raised gold or platinum Arabic numerals. This for me added a beautiful depth to the dials presence. Kenny was extrem... 

I am curious to see how the blue of the dial will turn out. I like it also in Roségold but finally will go for Platin as I think it will be more versatile.and fits better with my wardrobe.

There is sno chance for an elegante or a chronometre bleue. Simply due to the fact that people keep asking for them, because they want to make a quick buck. Every boutique might be different tough. I would like to own both of them at some point. Well basi... 

But you have some really good options to begin your journey with and those are in reality some of the very best of the brand that are more versatile than the oregano “special”. Aka a lot more wrist time and enjoyment.

And those are around 50k right now at MSRP? Very interesting. I thought the elegante would be for sure since they produce more than all the mechanical watches combined. I do love the Lune though as well as the boutique CS. Both absolute classics

Yearly Journe production is 800-900 mechanical watches and ~400 Elegante's.

Journe allocations are not boutique dependent. Their set rules are the same worldwide.

Curious if anyone knows as I love custom straps with contrast stitching-what is taper width of strap at deployant end and is it identical for both models which both have a lug width of 20mm. Some say 19mm but I am curious especially for CB tantalum deploy...
