Chateau Prieure-Lichine 2001 and Chateau Chasse-Spleen 2009
These are a few wines we had at a family dinner in the countryside.
We choose the Prieure-Lichine mostly because we thought at 15 we should probably enjoy it before it is too late. It did not disappoint us.

Looks like the Prieure-Lichine 2015 is going to be the one to go for.
The Chasse-Spleen is always a favorite we had it with the cheese course. The 2009 was drinking fine but it was no in the swet spot a few more years and it should mellow out a little.

Next this little gem from Pouilly-Fuisse like some other from the region don't seem to get much play. Easy to drink.

Located near Macon. Also the Vinzelles are great bargains and great tasting.
Bollinger NV heavy on the Pinot noir was great with the smoked Salmon.

Absolutely beautiful chateau....and it has been producing some really lovely wines in the last decade......always easy to drink....i have some 05s and 09s down below me....havent opened yet.
The Roquefort was hiding behind the bottle.

It looked great. Seeing Macon reminds me of drinking a white from there many years ago at Willi's Wine Bar in Paris iirc. I am not a wine guy but it was very good at the time.
The memories are what wine creates.
Drinking an inexpensive Rose sitting at a cafe in St Floren "Corsica" will register in your memory fore a life time. The next sip of the same Rose 10 years later sitting at a cafe in Paris will evoke some great memories.
