I’ll have to disagree – very often, less is more, and simpler is better.

 

Like a good single malt whisk(e)y, you just need to let it breathe rather than mix it with anything else.
The same is the case with the Laureato – the dial has enough going on with the Clous de Paris, that it doesn’t need the superfluous adornments of “Automatic, Laureato, Girrard-Perregaux, and 1791".
They should be taking a page out of H Moser’s book – the Art of Subtle Obviousness – available from all good retailers for just €19.99.
