It's an old dive watch...
...it's in a Super Compressor case. What's not to like?
I posted an Enicar single crown SC diver on Longines Nautilus thread, same 'family' as the 8953 (though the 8953 is smaller) and the larger Deep Diver single crowns.
[I have yet another single crown SC non-diver in my sights...will post it if I get my hands on it]
Thanks, Damjan!

Glad you enjoyed the ads. I love the old GP diving watches. There are many beautiful vintage GPs actually. Don't you wish you had a time machine, so you could go back to the 60s and buy a brand new GP for around $70 like the ad states? LOL! Oh, how I wish...
Great ads!

Thank you very much for these, Daos! I love vintage ads – so cool! Like a time capsule of how the watch looked like, what people was wearing, fasion, mindset… Well, by now I guess everybody already figured out that I like old ads…! Best Blomman

I know you appreciate these vintage marketing efforts. They have a great deal of charm, don't they? I wish I could go back in time and buy all the watches advertised for such small amounts of money! Cheers, Daos

Thank you, Madam This forum is privileged to have a lady, who is highly knowledgeable about vintage-watches. In view of the small production run, little wonder I have not come across any article entitled, 'How to spot a fake or franken Girard Perregaux di...

Thanks for your comment. I fully agree with the comment you have made. I have managed to fulfill my desire to own and wear a vintage divers watch, produced by one of the most established and celebrated watch houses in Switzerland. Thank you.
Thank you

Madam Thanks for your kind words. Like it or not, this Girard Perregaux Deep Diver is a poor man's vintage Submariner or Sea-Dweller. Whatever, I do see lots of beauty in this Deep Diver, though currently this model is not in the 'must-have' list of diver...
