Girard Perregaux

Glad you enjoyed the ads. I love the old GP diving watches. There are many beautiful vintage GPs actually. Don't you wish you had a time machine, so you could go back to the 60s and buy a brand new GP for around $70 like the ad states? LOL! Oh, how I wish...

Without date, clear and clean dial ,very sober, but still elegant, strong... It has all the virtues which are important to me, when it comes to Vintage Diving watches. Superb. Very interesting vintage ads, too. Funny how the Vintage Sea Hawk is so differe... 

8953 is the smaller diver. 8867 is 39mm; 8953 is 30mm. Both are gorgeous watches with similar looks. I see them come up from time to time, but often the bezels are not in good shape. Hopefully, you will find a clean example and share it with us! Replacing...

I like to think of GP as the connoisseur's choice. They don't have the production volume or brand recognition with the masses that Rolex or Omega does. Nothing wrong with that. GP is of much more interest to me because they are a lesser known or perhaps l...

What is nice with this kind of Vintage watches is that you bought it JUST because you love it. Which is not always the case with some " Hype " Vintage watches, and I wouln't specially mentiion Omega, even if the brand is also touched by fakes or frankenwa...

The ref. number you previously provided, 7006/M3246BR18, doesn't correspond to a Deep Diver, but another GP dress watch. Can you please provide a photo of the caseback or look in between the lugs and provide the numbers, if any, found in those spots? Than...

Madam The Girard Perregaux Deep Diver has been serviced and returned. As per your advice, I have checked the model reference number. You are spot-on right, the seller inadvertently made a mistake by stating that it is model reference 7006. The actual mode...

Madam Thanks for your kind words. Like it or not, this Girard Perregaux Deep Diver is a poor man's vintage Submariner or Sea-Dweller. Whatever, I do see lots of beauty in this Deep Diver, though currently this model is not in the 'must-have' list of diver... 

The GP diver seems indeed in excellent condition. I am sure all of us would love to see some more pictures, if possible. Maybe the watchmaker shot a pictures of the movement as well? Thanks and regards Stefan
