Well, it has two functions. When you pull the crown, you can rotate the date disc. When it is in the "normal" position, you can change the month in the little aperture at 12 ;-) [nt]

The Gyrodate works very sinmply. You rotate the bezel such that "1" is aligned with the Day of that date, then you can look up the Day/Date combination for the rest of the month. CC
