the reason for the no date version is , other than price, is that the dial is more sporty and fit better IMO the case. the date version is more pure (very beuatiful) maybe too pure for a pilot rough watch.

The dateless Navigator is my favorite of the . . .
. . . cal 100 equipped G O's so far, and is perhaps the only large watch that I can wear comfortably because the various factors in it's design - brushed finish, densely populated matte dial, and drab brown strap - draw attention away from it's bulky dime...

. . . the current cal 100 Senators, and not the previous cal 39 models . . . please correct me if I'm mistaken. The current Senators have a more refined appearance, and would nicely balance the casual look of your Panodate, especially for formal occasions...
