I agree completely with your assessment. For me, I didn't like that they had to truncate part of the 4 to fit in the big date. I also really liked the LE25 (posted on here earlier) with the big-date layout with no-date and red second hand. The standard no-date began to grow on me. The great finishing really must be seen in person to be appreciated fully. Long story short, I picked up the standard no-date from an AD in NYC this past weekend and haven't regretted it for a second.

the reason for the no date version is , other than price, is that the dial is more sporty and fit better IMO the case. the date version is more pure (very beuatiful) maybe too pure for a pilot rough watch. i don't know why my name is not showing, can anyo...
