I think Glashutte should change the length of their standard straps
Many thanks for the feedback. I guess I was a bit surprised at how much just a change of strap can change the look of a watch. The key thing for me is that the watch is now much more comfortable to wear since the metal part of the deployment clasp is under my wrist rather than angled to the side (I did get an extra hole punched in the grey nubuck strap but wouldn't recommend this since it wasn't comfortable to wear).
Given how many people decide to change the standard strap for the short one, I think GO should consider making the short strap the standard size. This would appear to bring it into line with other brands - its a bit odd that they are out of line at the moment. If I buy another GO I will make sure that I get the strap sorted out first.
However, after wearing my watch with the black strap for the last few days, I do prefer the new look - it does, as Roger says, bring out the grey dial well. I agree it looks smarter now which I also like.
