You're right, Marcus, and

... I'm thinking about spending my money ( let's say a part of it...) for a new GO including more air than my old ones.
My watches are industrial examples, and therefore I've in my collection a Lange 1A and ... a Lange 1 "air", even if I'm not a fan of such a watch. I've two Zenith watches looking like a frying pan with two eggs. But: The fabricant could and should do more, when he uses such a big case. Power reserve, bigger date (a 31-disk nearly at the center of the watch is nonsense), precision and so on. The problem is: The end-customer isn't critical. He takes whatever journalists are reporting as a new watch, of course living with teir families by ads paid by these fabricants.

I'm financially independent - it's not my merit - and I hope that more people's thinking about what's going on in our watch industry. Therefore I'm writing in that language to a more important public and perhaps with some intensification. If we don't produce and buy watches really innovative and of highest quality, it is the end of all our well known brands. We'll have only some big medium quality "far east" producer of watches, IBM-computers and Toyotas. At the same time we're loosing our highest quality products as a part of our culture. Therefore it should be a challenge to produce the higest quality and to earn money by results of thinking and research, with ideas, not by reselling gold and platinum at very high rates. At the end we get uncritical and poor in a two senses.
