Horological Meandering

...to chart your own course.

Others' opinions are all well and good, but ultimately you've got to live with the piece on your wrist, so find your sweet spot. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are buying, but I think you get the greatest satisfaction from wearing watches that have personal meaning.

Also, it doesn't matter if your watch costs $100 or $100,000. There are plenty of guys who haunt online watch forums with collections that rival the GDP of small countries, but don't know anything about the pieces (other than their price tag), the history of the manufactures they proudly name check, etc. Real WIS who have a true passion for the hobby are not defined by the size and cash value of their collections.

Cheers,
Daos
