I actually like the market section, but the amount of scammers and the lengths to which they are willing to go with their deception is getting borderline extreme (see my above post regarding the fake FBI email).
I think they should just implement some more safeguards and warnings on each post. On many real estate listing websites (StreetEasy, Zillow, etc.) each post carries warnings to be wary of scams. I like the idea of having to prove ownership of the watch via setting the time and/or sending certificates with the serial numbers clearly shown to the mods, as well as having to show references upfront, for each post and in order to post in the first place. I saw some people saying it shouldn't be like that on the CM, but I don't see why it would be anything but helpful in weeding out scammers. Someone should just volunteer to review the posts before they are made public. There aren't THAT many FS posts that it would take more than 15-30 minutes a day.
