Not the best solution
I actually like the market section, but the amount of scammers and the lengths to which they are willing to go with their deception is getting borderline extreme (see my above post regarding the fake FBI email).
I think they should just implement some more safeguards and warnings on each post. On many real estate listing websites (StreetEasy, Zillow, etc.) each post carries warnings to be wary of scams. I like the idea of having to prove ownership of the watch via setting the time and/or sending certificates with the serial numbers clearly shown to the mods, as well as having to show references upfront, for each post and in order to post in the first place. I saw some people saying it shouldn't be like that on the CM, but I don't see why it would be anything but helpful in weeding out scammers. Someone should just volunteer to review the posts before they are made public. There aren't THAT many FS posts that it would take more than 15-30 minutes a day.

I suggest in addition to the advice, you contact your bank also (you probably have done) to see if there is anything they can also do to reclaim the funds. The chances are they have gone out of this mystery account, but doesn't cost anything to try. Its t...

I usually don\'t deal with sellers in this manner and I don\'t normally end up dealing with people whom I can\'t verify on my own. I guess I was just distracted and ignored the signs because I was so blinded with lust for this piece. I have spoken with my...

there used to be a panel on the sales section where previous buyers could add comments on the seller. I don't see that anymore (could just be my browser?) but I thought that was really useful Horrible sinking feeling to get when the seller is outed as a s...
Update:
By: Para-7 : April 12th, 2016-13:55
A small update: Of course the money has not been returned, and I have alerted the authorities (luckily, I have many contacts with judges and prosecutors and PIs, so I think there will be movement on this front). I am still in contact with the person who s...
