Horological Meandering

A sector dial is indeed for legibility / scientific purpose

On an original sector dial, you have 3 sectors : one for hours, one for minutes, one for seconds.
The respective hands must point accurately to each sector to ensure that when the eye needs to read one of the 3 indications for a specific purpose it can do so with the best efficiency (as a scientific or navigator, you can be focusing on the second, or the minute evolution, depending on the timing indication you need for a specific purpose)
In particular, a mjor failure is when the sector is interrupted by a disgracious window (eg date on Master date, or, worst, the geographic window on JLC master Geo which destroys 25% of the sector) that hampers the legibility (and is an aesthetic disgrace)
