Another Fleuron automatic, incoming.
I don't see them often, and they always have wild guilloche (or possibly some other process) dials. The differences between it and my others will be, shall we say, subtle, but I couldn't leave it alone. Restoration will be needed, however. I wish it would arrive already!

Imperial Wedding 50th anniversary commemoration
Accorrding to my research on the net, it was produced in November of 1973 to commemorate the 50 th wedding ann. of Emperor Hiroshito who was the last Japanese emperor of Showa dynasty. The kanji character on the dial means " longevity".

There's no apparent detent inside the clasp, just the slight impression on the top and a small bump so you don't go to far opening it. After a gentle "Cape Cod" cloth treatment to shiny it up a bit. Mike ...
