I did not service it..yikes. Swam in sea with it in the years of 1990s.. These watches were made to last. I think it was about 3 years BEFORE the world even began to look at watches, and NO adverts were found, or rarely found, in magazines..and only 3 or ...

But because it is sooo expensive, I will ask DB first, and then if OK, I will. This part here..is of concern, but with a readily replaced part, and a trial run on a computer..we will see. The silicium wheel seems to be really hardy, and it is also DOUBLE ...  

great food for thoughts......but for me I am still a believer and sit firmly in the corner of the ones who buy watches for instant gratification without thinking much of future increase or decrease of value....who knows?In the meantime they give me pleasu... 

I use almost every minute I have that is away from work to maximize my "enjoyment" of life...or to learn something. The watch? It helps me to broaden any ideas or thoughts I have on my business...the solution of the bridge, the Freak's wheel within a whee...

BUT..I will first prepare a simulated diagramatic trial. I am VERY interested in the DB28 system because of its larger size, and I feel I can 3D print out the parts. But maybe not so beautiful in the finish.

Francois, to many, 3D printing is interpreted as many guises. For me in Singapore, I am now experimenting with recreating the FRONTAL part of a watch case which I have the CAD diagram. In the future, this year, I hope to be able to scan a case part, and r...

The brand...I am not sure. But it has software that is now almost being upgraded every month. Originally bought to make small medical use parts, later, sold to me for making these "experiments".

Compensation for the economy depreciation of value. Instead of 3D parts why not if you can afford it, get the case to be coated with several microns of DLC.

This is a trade off Ronald. Whether a total coat of hard material, or wear and restore. Soon...restoration will include total case reconstruction...by restoring the outer layer. No more material loss.

For those watches you will abuse, buy a second case and crystals. When the first ones need servicing have local AD swap them, and send the beaten one for refinishing.
