I think it was about 3 years BEFORE the world even began to look at watches, and NO adverts were found, or rarely found, in magazines..and only 3 or 4 websites.

But because it is sooo expensive, I will ask DB first, and then if OK, I will. This part here..is of concern, but with a readily replaced part, and a trial run on a computer..we will see. The silicium wheel seems to be really hardy, and it is also DOUBLE ...

NO..I think not.
BUT..I will first prepare a simulated diagramatic trial. I am VERY interested in the DB28 system because of its larger size, and I feel I can 3D print out the parts. But maybe not so beautiful in the finish.
For me, the interesting part is about "3D Printing" ......

Compensation for the economy depreciation of value. Instead of 3D parts why not if you can afford it, get the case to be coated with several microns of DLC.

This is a trade off Ronald. Whether a total coat of hard material, or wear and restore. Soon...restoration will include total case reconstruction...by restoring the outer layer. No more material loss.
Bernard here is another solution you would be able to pull off...
For those watches you will abuse, buy a second case and crystals. When the first ones need servicing have local AD swap them, and send the beaten one for refinishing.
