Congrats! This is one of the few J*D models that I would add to my
collection. Very unique and limited...a silent treasure!
Despite my rapid response, I think you beat me to the punch 
It was also one of the first (and very few models) outfitted with a rubber backed/water resistant strap!

tonight of the cases side by side to give you an idea of the thickness between the two watches. I will tell you that the Marine is substantially heavier then the RG Grande Seconds. Tony

You can see that the Marine is only slightly thicker than the regular Grande Seconds. As I said before the extra gold on the bezel makes the Marine much heavier but it is very comfortable to wear. Tony...

I got the rubber strap I ordered in the mail today and it looks great. Back when JD released this watch they did not have a rubber strap as an option yet. JD's OEM rubber strap looks nice but I prefer my straps on any watch not go all the way up to the ca...
