Discontinued watches
Hi PP,
I have seen watches being sold in Authorized Dealers at least 3 or 4 years after they were discontinued. Some of these have been with significant discount during sales and have clearly been watches that were hard to move, for whatever reason. I am not sure it would specifically raise the attention of the Manufacture if it was returned for service.

several grey dealers keep the date open on the warranty with the original AD stamp on.... I would say that when you do not buy directly from a boutique o an AD then assume that there is no warranty.... Cheers

Whether you buy it from a AD or otherwise, you only date it when your watch needs to be sent to the brand for service. No inconsistency here. Even if the Brand has stopped sending the modal, the fact is that it is an old stock. The brand can't reject that...

absolutely right.... However you must admit that there are certain ADs that act in a manner that manufacturers do not like..... Some manufacturers do keep track and take away dealerships.... Cheers
Most, if not all, manufacturer warranties are international
If you were to travel with your watch and something happens, any AD anywhere will take care of your watch.
