For me personally...
...I prefer my mechanical watches "straight up, no chaser." Please leave the electronics at home when it comes to wristwatches. However, I do think these Linde Werdelin watches with their mountable dive computers, etc. are very cool. The module concept works for me, because the mechanical and electrical systems are contained in separate units.

Personally I like their existance, but have no interest in owning one myself. As for other Purists, I'd bet that the majority do not favour such watches, but I'd also bet that most wouldn't turn their nose up at a Seiko Spring Drive.
