Shaped watches are certainly divisive!
I am more inclined towards the work of Gilbert Albert with regards asymmetrical watches.
No questions there are a lot of new talents in watchmaking and new opportunities...
A pity they are like IPOs, loved by "hedge funds and private equity-like speculative" collectors, pushing to the sky. Reality is many new brands are not for regular collectors anymore unless deep pockets. Once they won GPHG or some LV awards....Bingo! Jac...
Very true as we see it, this is an expensive hobby....
For initial supporters of each brand, who put faith and $$ into something not seen or just a prototype, well worth it and well deserved. Congrats by the way, if you are the lucky owner.
There are very few untraditional watches that I like
and even then I prefer traditional shapes. For some unknown reason I have found this one attractive from the get-go. I do prefer the RG version. I’m impressed by how the movement has been shaped to agree with the case.
