Hi Ed, sure, I'd be glad to describe those two watches
This Seiko 5 came from Manila, if I recall correctly.
It was in the midst of my "get every moonphase you can" phase.
I liked its outrageous styling and big moon indication. The fake jewel-looking trim was a bonus.
It's actually a mechanical, automatic movement that keeps good time despite being 30 years old.
The bracelet is original and I think I got the box and books too.
I haven't polished the case because I like the matt, serious engineer look which offsets the bling-ish pretentions of the dial.
Hope I never have to find a crystal for it (fingers crossed)
I see it's one of my few non-round watches and I failed to notice it when doing the counts. Sigh
My wife wore it to the recent Purists gathering in LA but it didn't compete with the beautiful Milles and Mosers and things.
The next is a Sportura Kinetic chronograph. I showed it on a Friday Wrist Scan Day back in
September - here's the link (is it OK if we link to ourselves?)

This was produced by Seiko a few years ago in a limited edition of 300 to commemorate their 40th year making chronographs.
Hence the ceramic bezel, enormous crystal, very nicely finished movement, etc.
As I had an earlier version and had heard about this (vainly tried to get one new) I did some web surfing last summer and found it in northern Japan.
The dealer was unwilling to ship to America, so I had another Japanese dealer act as middleman.
With some fiddling and fussing it was mine a week later.

Here's the back. Sorry, can't get a better shot without taking the bracelet apart.
This watch's ancestor is shown below. Notice the common architecture
(location of pushers, center of dials, number of hands, general "guts"
of the watch)

Thanks for noticing!
Mike
