Horological Meandering

Thanks for the responses! It took 3 hours to write the post,

after about an hour of arranging the watches.

GRAHAM - thanks a lot for bringing up the "mental health professional" implications!

DXBOON - I don't keep them in boxes. I just keep them all in the cabinet, basically like they are here on the table. After I clean the glass I will put them all back in. No more Stowas for me thanks - too many other fish in the sea.

ANTHONY - Would I buy fewer richer ones? Perhaps, but I suspect not. It's the same for cars - once had 11 but now back down to six. I could have a M-B but I have lots of cheaper cars. I once had a FP Journe but couldn't bear the thought of despoiling such a beautiful work of art, so got rid of it.

I'm irrational. I love catching, touching, using stuff. As some of you know, I also have collected oriental rugs, and Russian icons, and books. And Michelin men. And model cars. And tie clasps. And oh yes, 700+ different kinds of champagne.

On the upside, a friend came over in the midst, and he bought the giant Swiss Army and the Russian Racketa 24-hr watch. smile
On the downside, I found 4 more Seikos in the basement, besides those extra Accutrons I mentioned. :-(

PS I don't collect bottles of champagne, I just drink them and keep the caps (muselet) off the corks.

Today's champagne - Excellent!
