Omega was in the middle, closer to Breguet - they have pretty good, pretty complete and (pretty) consistent data on their website and it seems to reduce to 14 model families, across some 4000 references!:

pros and cons of sticking to a few model families?
Look at AP which turned to be "The Royal Oak Company" Or Patek, which was on it's way to be the NutiNaut company, Rolex, Omega, Tag , IWC etc, have their families, they are not a "single" line company...
