I'm crazy in a different way...
over time I have become much less picky about my watches being set to the second of an accurate reference source (and even about their accuracy in general).
On the other hand, I am quite picky about the seconds hand matching with the minute hand position. This can be a pretty delicate exercise depending on the movement (Valjoux 7750 can be a pain in this respect) - but all this is another story and perhaps a topicfor a seperate thread

I am not that fussy about matching time to a reference source. If it's a minute or so out, I don't mind. After all, my mobile, my computer and the wall clock all tend to show different times... But I do the same as you in terms of ensuring the seconds han...

Some might think that it matters not whether personal time is set to an arbitrary reference. Arbitrary? Sure: even accepting a central locus as the primary reference (say, Greenwich Observatory), how many of us fix time accurately - accurately - to 'true'...
