I agree with your comments. Time is all relative and it really does not matter if you set the watch a few seconds or for some a few minutes off. I have asked myself the question what really drives me to do what I do? The answer of course, is that each of us seem to have a certain string of "craziness" that drive us to do this. I am glad to find that there are others who share my "craziness" on this one. It is too much responsibility to be all alone

I am not that fussy about matching time to a reference source. If it's a minute or so out, I don't mind. After all, my mobile, my computer and the wall clock all tend to show different times... But I do the same as you in terms of ensuring the seconds han...

Some might think that it matters not whether personal time is set to an arbitrary reference. Arbitrary? Sure: even accepting a central locus as the primary reference (say, Greenwich Observatory), how many of us fix time accurately - accurately - to 'true'...
