I will make a separate post about the movement specifics and where it is made. I understand this particular watch is not your typical preferred genre, but I really appreciate your reply.
The most noteworthy detail about this piece is the unique case material. But I really applaud Lorige for utilizing what I feel is a very high end movement. It would have been easy to deprioritize it, but what better way to create a hallmark automotive watch than with a robust, powerful, finely tuned engine!

Well, you make a great point. The hands on the watch are quite large, and it is very easy to ready at a glance.
The other brand, that might not be a priority. Lorige makes it clear in their marketing, the 7 day power reserve and excellent legibility are perfect for endurance motorsports.

As best I understand it, this crown provides both a consistent winding feel even as the power reserve nears full, and it also allows the crown to slip to prevent overwinding and damaging the mechanism. I can certainly attest to the first feature, the wind...
The case has such a unique feel on the wrist. Light, but present.

I always hope for +/- 5 seconds out of the box. This one, and a few others I have, are far better.
You certainly know all about accuracy with your Chopard Chromometer! That one is undoubtedly great.
Actually, that one runs outside the
specs right out of the box, believe it or not. Minus 6-7 seconds a day or so
6-7 seconds, perfectly OK for me. I guess I assumed better for that precision instrument...
But in no way does that diminish how incredible the piece is. I always love when you post it on the Chopard Forum.

Of course, the unique and personalized case material
sets this watch apart. But as you say one can only appreciate the fact that they’ve also chosen a very accurate movement!
