I have actually thought about this topic.
Assuming there will be an open casket, I have chosen the watch I wish on me. But I want it removed and it, along with whatever other watches I have then, are to go to my daughters for use or disposal. I have even written directions out for them to follow should they choose to sell.
As for our rich friend-it is hard not to respect his wishes, but the sale of that watch could benefit his heirs, or a charity as someone wrote.If in fact the deceased wanted the watch with him on the next journey but the heirs have a better idea about its future, they should consider overruling the deceased's wishes.
