Horological Meandering

I’ve been an admirer of green dials lately. Do you prefer light, medium or dark green? *Images borrowed ...  

The differences are so subtle…not just light or dark but the color palette as well. I like most of them better the Zenith, IWC and the Nomos stand out…Moser and Parmigiani stand out as well.. ...  

The tone, palette and texture all contribute to the attractiveness. There are probably 30 or more different colors, all individually named by the manufacturers. Reminds me of the way car companies name their colors. Some examples of my car colors in the p...

GO, Reverso, and Longines standout to my eyes.... Ultimately, I love almost any shade of green 🙂👌....

I tend to lean towards the richer, darker or medium green tones. The lighter shades do less for me in this category. Interestingly to my surprise , when I saw the GO with my own eyes, it was as black as my Sub in the showroom. Looked nothing like the deep...

That’s what I thought too. Was 95% ready to pull the trigger. When it so happened a local shop got one in. So I “try before I buy” and man, am I glad I did! Perhaps I’ll give that GO a second chance in the future , but next time, in natural light (instead... 

the green is rather dark, it doesn't pop and isn't always easily identifiable as green (at certain angles it just looks like an unidentified dark colour). I personally chose the grey dial, which I liked much better. That's all I can say, unfortunately.

The dial texture and color was striking to me. Good to know about how the green variant looked in person, looks can be deceiving! Glad to hear you found a color that suits you best!

NOMOS made a bold decision with that color, don’t see it too often, even though a lighter shade, looks a cool pastel color to me. Glad someone else enjoys looking at green dials too! I can’t seem to get enough of them lately ; )

I feel the following in your list are done to my tastes; The Chopards, the JLC, the Sinn, the Longines, and the Nomos are all exceptionally cool in my eyes. I'd probably go for the second Chopard with the 96 movement, or the Alpine Eagle if I want a sport... 

There’s alot to love with both of these Chopards! The Reverso is a classic icon, this time with a twist in that extremely attractive shade of green. Regarding bang for the buck, the Longines is a big winner. I’m waiting for my local AD to hopefully get on... 

I don't own a Longines Diver, but that's one of my favorite watches in the Longines collection! The other being the Hodinkee X Longines collaboration. That three hand watch has the wrong movement, but that dial looks really silvery and a special grainy ma... 

They look superb for sure. I only have two 🤷🏻‍♂️ ...
