Not the best but it shows the watch a bit better!

I have a square watch (IWC) and I like the way it looks, but there is no escaping the fact that watch hands move in a circle. When I look at the part of the dial that actually is involved in reading the time, it is quite small. Thus, I get relatively litt...

Here is one of them , my CvdK Also my Urwerk is a kind of square watch There are also brands that primeraly make tonneau cases (RM , FM etc) and i do love that cases as well but must admit that most of my watches do have a round case . ...  

The Urwerk - great as it is - is something we occasionally see here The CvdK in this version is new to me Really like both! Thanks for joining in

Looks quite large for a square watch

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful square cases, is that of the original Daniel Roth (those of the early 90s designed by Roth in person) and the case that creates today with the JDN brand. ...

Hi Having something with straight lines instead of curves has a different appeal. I've got one of the obvious choices Despite its rectangular shape - there's an awful lot of curves present! A couple of my squarish watches - predictably both alarms. Omega ...  

I like the Nomos Tetra but know that it would go to my wife within minutes

I have to say the Omega I really like for the jumping hour but it’s the Karree shape that appeals to me even more

They changed strategy. But they could have re designed it

The RO/ROO are all conquering - at least outside of the haute horlogerie range - so the other products have it difficult to compete for resources, no matter if good...

I never would have considered Nautilus to be in that category but perhaps you are right. Very much like both the Prince and Cabaret but both have been discontinued and produced in much smaller numbers than their round cousins Hope for a return of both!

the KV is of course a stunning one. I think too of the PP Gondolo's in their various versions but for me the icon remains the Reverso of which I have two (my wife also has two) and I've sold a few over the years. A brand worth looking at is Lang & Heyne -...

Of course my vote goes to TAG Heuer with the Monaco, IMO the most iconic square watch...ever. For me, the Monaco LS is a beefier, more substantial interpretation of the original Monaco. IMO, it's a great dresser and unique. Speaking of square, my wife has...  

The Monaco is a classic for sure! I possibly live in a skewed environment. In our company and business environment there are very many people wearing TAG Heuers, albeit almost exclusively Carreras - have nt seen a Monaco live (outside of a watch shop) for... 

Out of production but I was able to track one down pre-owned. It's exactly what she wanted. ...  

Is the case on the time only models a tad smaller, or is it just my impression? Lucky wife btw.

However, I believe Monaco LS and V4s are 40-41mm case...and certainly thicker.

Except the Reverso and the Tank, it is very complex, even for Patek, to sell rectangular (squared is even worse) watches. It is a matter of taste from the clients. Lange doesn't have any non-round watch in its catalogue anymore. Fx

I do fully agree there, just wonder why we prefer round ones. The usable real estate theory is certainly a good point, maybe there are psychological reasons, too. I guess no great renaissance of rectangular or square watches is to be expected and I can ce... 

I have been searching for this watch for a long time and finally bought it without ever seeing it in metal. It surprises me with the elegant shape and size. Feels perfect on my wrist and I really love the watch ...
