Horological Meandering

So far, I've been building my watch collection by adding some diversity while I was trying to fill all the gaps. You know what I mean, trying to have a watch for every occasion. I've never spent so much time working from home and it looks like it's going ...

Only a hair heavy maybe and no date indication.

I don't necessarily love the look of the date indication, but I've found that I like to to be able to check the date on my watches from time to time. This is even more important on a daily watch.

But I haven't yet convinced me 😅

Love it from the release date, in case I would go for a more “exotic” version (ie carbonium or ceramic), that Bvlgari will release at some point (insider news from Bvlgari) In these two long months of house arrest, with only one watch, a big, bold, carbot...  

That's in a whole different category. I still have this gap uncovered, but that's for another day, too serious 😅 I'm glad that you like the Bulgari. I don't love the look of it on my wrist, but I'm definitely attracted by many details of the watch.

on the Bvlgari below a pic of my Finissimo titanium... you should try, and try again... the first time for me was a Finissimo on strap, not bracelet, I didn’t like it... then... Good luck for your search, a never ending journey for most of us Ciao, always...

I have no problems at all. I have acces to all my watches, and i am not prisoned at home. They call it in my country an intelligent lockdown. I work at my work, and have 4 watches for 4 situations. I wear a watch at home. 1 work watch, Tissot. 1 dinner an... 

If I may ask: which is the difference between work and daily watch? Just curious.

My work watch i do not wear when i not work. I do not work in an office, so it is not a good idea to wear a F.P. Journe or a Patek Philippe were everywhere is iron, machines, thieves, oil, safety belts. My daily watch is actually my free time watch. The w...

Presuming, that is, that you don't already own one. The basic large size is surprisingly thin, the bracelet works well, and the date window is well-integrated at 6:00. The gradient blue dial is particularly nice-looking, I think, and I like the renderings...  

I will definitely have a look at the new large model in steel: white, blue and grey. Yours looks awesome! The Cartier Santos is a special watch for me and you'll know why very soon (you inspired me to post something). Cheers!

A hygienic watch is important for the lock down. Something thin and unobtrusive is also beneficial. Since we're probably moving less than before, a watch that reminds you to do physical activity is also a good thing! An Apple Watch it is!

But in case you are looking further, a few to consider that you might not find too delicate, although they are more traditional in appearance: Chopard L.U.C XPS, JLC Master Ultra Thin Reserve de Marche, JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpetual.

Four some reason, I'm not comfortable at home wearing leather straps. Maybe I'm washing my hands to often 😛
