...for Daos. This watch may be engraved with the name of its maker, but it was made for me...literally. That's why my Habring2 Jumping Seconds is "the one." The entire experience of collaborating with an Independent -- from my first friendly, but hesitant email, to the nail-biting tension of second guessing my design choices (on a watch never even seen in the flesh), to the exultation upon lifting the lid off the box to see my timepiece in the flesh, to the soul-satisfying feeling of brushing my fingers along the watch's smooth, cool contours for the first time, to feeling the gentle pressure of the calf-leather strap as it bound the watch to me at that initial moment, was deeply fulfilling. That's why the watch below is my pick.
