Many pictures of a beautiful pair of blue steel hands
Yesterday I was fortunate enough to examine the Grand Seiko 10th Anniversary limited edition SBGR037. It's a steel GS wristwatch with a guilloche dial and blue steel hands.
According to the owner, the movement has a new hairspring which is more shock- and magnetism-proof and an anchor which is lighter and generates less friction. Not much more detail is available on the movement changes because all the text on the Seiko site is in Japanese and even then it is extremely brief.
Like all Grand Seikos this is a simple watch but it is incredibly well made. The white dial and blue hands give it more wrist presence than its otherwise small size (36mm) would imply. Congrats to the lucky owner!

These are 2 of the watches that I produce. The two in my post are ETA 6498 based, and the one pplater is wearing is 6497 based. The hands are heat blued and hands like this are one of my favourite watch features. Cheers, Al

Hot vs cold blueing
