Much ado about nothing for me at this point.
These whirligigs haven't even been launched widely to consumers yet. Who knows how they'll hold up, what early-adopter tech issues there will be (Was the whole iPhone "Bend-gate" so long ago that it's been forgotten?), whether people will want to actually talk into a wristwatch en masse, etc.
I'm happy with my "antiquated," mechanical time devices now, and into the foreseeable future. Look at other sectors of commerce -- the craft movement, and heritage production methods are rampant in everything from brewing to furniture-making to butchering. Why should watchmaking escape this trend?
Cheers,
Daos
