Oddly enough, I think I'd go with the PP in this instance!....

i’m kidding, the PP is the clear choice I see now.

I have seen both in person quite a bit, and owned a kind of similar Patek + the Tonda chrono. I don't love either. IMO the Parmigiani looks like the land of missed opportunities for sharp internal angles, and because of that, I greatly prefer the solid di... 

Just looking around there are many of last years PF releases available at an agreeable access point, that can't be said for PP. Maybe not so much of an insider secret anymore but PF have been on a serious win streak over the past 3 years or so, personally...

Part of what steers me is when I then look at pricing and then go down the rabbit hole of what else is in this same price range. As much as I want a PF skeleton - and really like this slate green color - why would I pay that amount in comparison?

basically I wondered “besides aesthetics, what is the value prop of this PF relative to the more complicated PP, and why are they the same price??” So, to your point exactly, what is the justification for paying more.🤔
