Nope...
While the buckle is certainly large enough, on the inside of the strap it hugs the contour of your wrist, so you don't even notice it. It's actually my go-to strap for the Emperor these days:
I also have a 24mm Isofrane with a PVD Retrosicuro buckle that I dig:
But that Ted Su is just so dang badass...
