But Doxa was one of the few Swiss brands that had an active presence behind the Iron Curtain, so I am not surprised that the gentleman from Budapest had a Doxa. Used to be the ‘fine watch brand’ in former Yugoslavia as well - there were hardly many alternatives available.

Yes, Kristjan, he noted that Doxa could be acquired during that time in Hungary.
There are apparently two other Doxas that he knows of in the family history from that time.
