The perfect
setting for elegance and style, the guests enjoyed the peaceful views of
the Pacific Ocean. Parmigiani displayed several of their
watches including the Parmigiani Atalante Flyback Chronograph limited
edition for the CBF.
Guests
were treated to a bagpipe performance throughout the evening as the sun
set over the horizon and the fog rolled
in:
Impressive ice sculpture, it looks like the
Parmigiani Bugatti Vitesse!
The luxurious dining room set up for all the
guests to enjoy dinner:
And a speech by Ms. Mazzocchi of Parmigiani and
noted Bugatti collector Mr. Hull to welcome all the
guests:
Here's a short video of the speech, and Mr. Hull
mentions the partnership between Parmgiani and Bugatti and how the
relationship is very similar. Both have historically been
involved in restoration and both strive for excellence and quality in
their work.
Dinner began with a locally grown Carmel Valley
heirloom tomatoes, home made burrata cheese, a splash of basil oil and a
micro salad. If you look closely there is a dollop of
'caviar' but it turned out to be pearls of balsamic vinegar.
Delicious!
A glass of
chardonnay and pinot noir from the Boekenoogen Estate Vineyard and
Winery, which is a located in the Santa Lucia Highlands nearby in
Monterey County. Both were excellent and paired well with the
courses, and I love the fact that the chef sourced locally available
wines and ingredients.
And our main course, a surf and turf with a 48
hour braised short rib and a olive oil poached salmon.
Dessert was an artfully plated bergamont custard
with stone fruit salsa, a cinnamon crisp, garnished with micro
flowers:
We had a wonderful time with Parmigiani and
Bugatti. Special thanks to Ms. Mazzocchi and the esteem
owner/host of the estate, thank you for such a warm welcome inside your
home! It was truly a great experience to spend time with the
rare vintage Bugatti's and view some spectacular
Parmigiani watches.
Hope you all enjoyed
the pics! Regards, ED-209 This message has been edited by ED209 on 2013-08-22 07:50:45

Can't wait for the Part 2! Nice car - I only know Bugatti of this period.... (I am not THAT old, though)... :-) Lucky (and most likely wealthy) owner! Ken
Thank you Ed! The Parmigiani and Bugatti Private Event at Pebble Beach was an evening of elegance and class. Held at a beautiful private home within Pebble Beach. The evening not only show-cased two very important and historically significant Bugattis, on...
The use of high tech materials integrates nicely with the car theme and makes it actually look "fast". Kudos to the whole team and looking forward to more photographs and a test drive sometime soon. Best, Tim
Parmigiani displayed their Bugatti Super Sport watches with the PF372 hand wound movement. But before we take a look at these unique Parmigiani watches, we walked over to the adjacent display of the Bugatti Type 46. Built in 1930 this restored Bugatti is ...
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Met some wonderful people, enjoyed the rare vintage cars and fantastic watches, and good food. It was a lot of fun. Wish you could have joined us. Regards, ED-209
As Ed-209 already stated, this is a beautiful Type 46 Coupe. It has already won numerous accolades. I'm personally a huge fan of pre-war cars and have seen many Rolls Royce Phantom II vehicles, Mercedes 500K and 540K vehicles, the Maybach DS8, and other P...
Working together since 2001, Parmigiani and Bugatti first introduced the Bugatti Type 370 in 2004 with a movement inside a cylindrical case that had the parts arranged like a transversal engine. I remember seeing and handling the Type 370 at a Parmigiani ...
Somehow romantic Parmigiani Bugatti. I was wondering since when they existed, your text reminded me, à propos, that it is almost 10 years! I really love the concept behind these créations, and these latest offers are no exception to the rule! The Super sp...
Thank you for explaining the EB logo. Now here's the problem. I really like the EB logo (no Bugatti watch should be without it IMO) but I think the definitive Bugatti watch should be the Super Sports model. But now I'm lamenting, the Super Sports watch do...
I had the good fortune to attend this event and witness these beautiful machines in person first-hand. Many thanks to Parmigiani, Bugatti, and the two friends whom I was fortunate enough to attend this event with.
