The Speedie, here. But tough choice... If you would have put a 16520 instead of the current one, I would have voted for the 16520.

In fact the current Daytona is 126500LN with a steel rim around the bezel.

I didn't know the Speedmaster had reliability issues: that's sad.

For impressing people that I don't want to impress: Daytona. For legibility and functionality (no screw down pushers): Speedy

Legibility, functionality and also a more refined design for me.

I had a speedmaster once. Had it for two weeks then sold it. The size doesn’t work small wrists so I’ve no choice but to go with the Daytona. But both are fine watches.

Interesting. I've always been surprised by how wearable the Speedy was on my wrist.

Had numerous Speedy’s and Daytona’s, and while not the most legible, I’ll choose the Daytona all the time due to ruggedness, reliability, ergonomics and superior materials.

Fortunately, I don’t have insecurity issues and I bought all my Rolex at retail so no reason to be ashamed.

Cleanness of the dial is certainly one reason I like the Speedy Pro over the Sub date or other Rolex sports watches.
