Thank you for a great in depth article.
The Lange 1 stands out with the date an integrated element of the complete design. The date on the new JLC is really quite good; as is the first Grand Seiko. I prefer a date that blends in ( if it can't be done as on the Lange 1.
Thanks again for the post - from now on I will always analyze the presentation of date on a watch.

I find your views concerning the LF interesting, even if I feel differently: Laurent Ferrier did not choose this design by chance and it therefore corresponds to a genuine aesthetic choice, even if I do not personally appreciate it. Best, Emmanuel
