for actually defining what steam punk is. I have seen this word lots of times being bandied around and I guess I just realized after reading your great post that I am a fan of such movement!
I figure that they will remain timeless. Why? For me at least, it provides an emotional charge that may fade over time but is different from other stimuli in that after repeated exposure to such followed by a long period of non-exposure, the effect ignited by such design is as strong and doesn't seem to show the normal timeline of the law of diminishing effect. This at least for me is true. That is why after NOT seeing watches you have chosen above to illustrate said design, I still feel the same when I see them again. The edge, the emotional charge is still as sharp and this is why I suspect watches made in accordance with the steam punk design will be timeless. Thanks again for the definition and an interesting read!!

Well the name of the maker is in the alternate text for the picture. I think there are 12 quite different lamps in the selection. And they seem to be EXTREMELY well made. I just wish I had seen them live.
