This is indeed something to consider. I am, however, very very lucky to have a very good watchmaker at hand who is specialized in vintage watches - he has even serviced watches for me with bad parts availability like multiple Universal Geneve Microrotor Movements and even an ultra-exotic Marvin Cal. 580 C - impossible to find parts for that and he has a lot in stock even tor a "unicorn" watch calibre like that. So he has a vast array of spare parts for the most impossible and unique movement types and what is not in stock he can manufacture in his worshop from scratch. Very very lucky to have him taking care of my vintage beauties.
