The truly large ones....
are made to be worn over a dive suit while piloting a missile beneath the seas (see early Panerai lore). Not many of us will have a knack for that sort of duty. So, it is to be enjoyed in whatever way one chooses--desk clock, safe queen, etc. On a wrist it would be out of place. My 2 cents worth.

You do have a VERY big and interesting collection. I guess you won't wear all your pieces or you'll have to change several times a day So, would you buy a watch (to complete your collection) even if you know you'll probably almost never wear it ?
