Why not a Tissot with this movement
Many, many watch companies have built models around this bulletproof movement.
If Stowa can do it, why shouldn't Tissot make its own version with the lid which adds a bit of mystery and mechanics to the composition? Notice the different angle on the Geneva stripes though.

I'm not a fan of big watches but I find this size to be tolerable AND I can see the time at a glance vs squinting and twisting my wrist to get a small dial in focus and good contrast.
More power to Tissot for trying, I say. I'm sure they have a large collection of vintage dials and they can sort through those to make a choice that is most pleasing for the retro-look they are aiming for. Here's my small assortment of vintage watch dials (of course mostly from pocket watches):
The two at bottom right appear to be classics and closest to the Tissot, in my estimation.
