The Purist NextGen Award: We hold our own watchmaking contest. Entrants must be independent makers who have never sold a watch under their own name. Entries must be made entirely by the entrant. Perhaps it could become a regularly held contest.

what I find amazing is that Volker Vyskocil is considered as
a watch watchmaking genious, he is featured in books on independent watchmakers, gets a lot of talk and has not delivered a stingle watch yet I would add Laurent Ferrier as one of the stars of tomorrow and think that Sarpaneva could fit the list as well

The way the man ignores all reasons of commercialism is amazing! He would clearly have been much better off had he just compromised a little and produced a watch to be delivered 2 years ago!!! But he search for perfection sitting in a small town in German...
