I agree with you on the bias towards manual wind. It’s an oft rolled out sound bite among us but manually winding one’s watch every day is an engagement that offers far more pleasure than one would expect.

Yesterday for me I wore my PLM.
Each time that real engagement with the winding process kinda catches me by surprise. As it’s like no other manually wound watch I have. It is extremely tactile. Which gives great satisfaction.
