I have just had the pleasure of meeting Monseiur Ferrier and manager Oliver Müller. I also just had the pleasure of meeting the Laurent Ferrier timepiece in a white metal with an onyx dial. I didn't know that it was a genuine onyx dial, as I assumed they were referring it as an onyx-colored dial. However, since WHL is specifically comparing it to Jaquet Droz's stone dials, I guess it must be onyx. Admittedly, I was more captivated with the hidden side of the watch.
I have said in the past that I am not a fan of tourbillons, as the concept of a tourbillon does not especially fascinate me when compared to the other complications that exist outside of tourbillons. However, I would make a tremendous exception to my general rule to acknowledge the wonderful attention to detail and genuine thoughtfulness of this tourbillon timepiece.
It was a true pleasure to meet Monseiur Ferrier and Oliver Müller. And again, many thanks to Monseur Müller for assisting with the brief translation between English to French. It's difficult to understand one's passion for this tremendous timepiece when there is such a language barrier. However, I feel that although I wasn't able to fully find equal grounds with Monseiur Ferrier, I could at least see the potential that I would have found a common bound with Monseiur Ferrier if I had been able to converse in French.
